Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Receive Country Radio Broadcasters’ Artist Humanitarian Award

This year’s Country Radio Broadcasters’ artist humanitarian award was presented to legendary country couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw by last year’s winner, Trace Adkins. The two have done much charitable work, starting in 2004 when they established Neighbor’s Keeper, a charity dedicated to strengthening communities and helping out individuals who are in need. The couple also did significant work in calling attention to the plight of Hurricane Katrina victims and the hurricane-ravaged communities in the South. When massive flooding struck Tennessee last year, the two also organized a relief concert called Nashville Rising to raise funds for the victims impacted by the floods. Hill called the award “bittersweet” because while the two were extremely grateful for the award, it had come about because of other people’s suffering. “We do think that we are better people for it,” McGraw said. “We dedicate this award to..people that help each other.”
