Gear Up for Keith Urban’s Newest Releases

Fans of Keith Urban will have a new reason to head to the music store beginning September 13, 2010. That’s the day Urban will release his latest single, “Put You in a Song.” The lyrics tell the story of a guy in love with a girl who is out of his league, so he writes a song about her. Through the song, he is able to take his dream girl with him everywhere.

Co-written with Jedd Hughes and Sarah Buxton, the song is one that impacted Urban because of its theme. Buxton was the mastermind behind the lyrics for Urban’s hit “Stupid Boy,” and Hughes has recorded with MCA Nashville. Urban will follow “Put You in a Song” with the release of his next album “Get Closer,” due out in November, 2010 under Capitol Nashville.

Fans can also purchase Urban’s other albums. “Defying Gravity” hit the market in March, 2009. From it, “Only You Can Love Me” and “Sweet Thing” hit number one. Urban earned the Grammy award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for the album.

As a member of “The Ranch,” Urban released his first album in the United States in 1997. In 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2006, Urban had solo albums that went platinum. They were the self-titled “Keith Urban,” “Golden Road,” “Be Here,” and “Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing.” In 2007, he released a collection of greatest hits.

Fans can still find all these titles for sale online or in music stores, and some sites are pre-selling his upcoming album. Several of Urban’s number-one singles are for sale as downloads, including “Somebody Like You,” “Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me,” and “You Look Good in My Shirt.”

People who enjoy both Brad Paisley and Urban may want to buy “Start A Band,” which is a guitar and vocal duet by the two artists.
