If you’re looking for a new CD to add to your music collection, consider Little Big Town’s “The Reason Why.” Released in August 2010, the group’s fourth studio album took the top position on the country billboards in September of 2010. The group released the album under the direction of producer Wayne Kirkpatrick and Capitol Records in Nashville.
Since 1998, Little Big Town has features the voices of Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, and Kimberly Schlapman. The American country music group uses a four-part vocal style combined with guitar played by Sweet and Westbrook. According to 9513, the album “is a tasteful reiteration of [the group's] previous three albums, firmly ensconced in the sounds of California rock combos The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.”
On the album, “Shut Up Train” merges acoustics to create the feeling of a quiet conversation. “All the Way Down” has an old-timer feel. For a ballad, check out “You Can’t Have Everything.” The most successful song on the album, according to the numbers, is the hit “Little White Church.” In this song, Fairchild leads with the story of a woman who swears off sex until her boyfriend marries her.
Over the course of its career, Little Big Town has had 12 country songs make the Billboard list, including a “Life in a Northern Town.” The group first hit the charts with their debut album in 2002. The success led to a contract with Clint Black’s Equity Music Group. Under the direction of the studio, the group released the album “The Road to Here.” It went platinum in the U.S. and had “Boondocks” and “Bring it On Home,” both top-ten singles.
Aside from purchasing the CD, fans can view videos online and purchase downloads and ring tones.
