One of the hottest young stars in country music is none other than singer-songwriter sweetheart Taylor Swift, who burst onto the scene with fresh-faced hits like “Love Story” and “Our Song.” Swift has recently been sweeping through all the gossip news sources with her recent dating life. Swift, who has dated many of Hollywood’s hottest, is in the earliest stages of dating with Chord Overstreet, who plays Sam on the hit TV Show “Glee.” It’s not the first time Swift has dated someone from “Glee,” having previously dated Corey Monteith, who plays Finn. It’s not the first time Overstreet has been linked to a Glee castmate’s ex, either; the actor/singer also was spotted with Naya Rivera in Vegas, who plays Santana. Rivera was previously linked to Mark Salling (Puck on the show). Rivera and Overstreet have insisted the two are just friends, however. As for Swift and Overstreet? Well, nothing’s confirmed, but the two have been seen in public together lately, including at a hockey game and Harvey Weinstein’s pre-Oscars party.
Swift was previously dating Jake Gyllenhaal, star of “donnie Darko” and “Brokeback Mountain,” in addition to a string of other big-name blockbuster hits. The tabloids were already inflamed with the two’s romance given the age difference between the two, but they became ravenous when it was released that Gyllenhaal had given the young singer an $11,000 guitar for her 21st birthday. In December, Gyllenhaal broke it off. The two recently had an awkward encounter at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, but no harsh words seemed to be exchanged.
Some sources guessed that Gyllenhaal was uncomfortable with their nine-year age gap. Others guessed that in the wake of the Reese Witherspoon breakup, which was incredibly publicized, that Gyllenhaal just wasn’t ready for another round of dating in the media circle. Whatever the reason, hopefully Swift will find better luck with Overstreet than Gyllenhaal.
